Inspection: Do Not Fly Your Aircraft Until The Servo Plug Has Been Inspected.
Determining if the plug is loose requires more than just a visual inspection. The inspection should be accomplished by attempting to turn the plug by hand, while taking care not to damage the safety wire or seal.
Action if hex plug is NOT found loose:
1- Enter in the engine logbook the date in which the plug was inspected per PRS-107 and indicate that the plug was NOT loose.
2- Until a long-term solution is found continue periodic inspections to determine if the hex plug is loose. Such inspections must occur at whichever comes first – at every oil change or every 50 hours of engine run time.
Action if hex plug is IS found loose:
1- If your unit was rebuilt, overhauled or repaired from Airflow Performance.
a. Contact us at 864-576-4512 for a RM number and send complete servo in for us to inspect and repair. DO NOT under any circumstances try to fix the problem yourself, regardless of what anyone else tells you. Remember if the seal is missing, we will not be responsible for repairing your part, or anything that may have been done to the unit.
2- If you unit was done by Precisions Airmotive LLC or another shop please contact them for their instructions.
